Lunar Metropolis is one of the outcomes of a research and development initiative funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Mitacs, in partnership with Matrix Engineering & Trading Ltd. (MET). The project aims to develop advanced space construction systems to support human exploration of the Moon and beyond, based on modular construction technology, in-situ resource utilization, and an innovative interlocking design.
